Position : Production Helper
Job Description : We are looking for a competent Production Assistant to support all aspects of manufacturing and aluminum alloy production. The crew will count on you for various crucial tasks, from organizing your work area, preparing necessary ingredients, and operating machinery such as forklifts and overhead cranes. If you want to prove yourself and work in a unique environment with a like-minded hard working team, this is the place to start. High energy and commitment are essential. If you are a restless individual who can multi-task, solve problems and do things proactively, you’ll quickly become invaluable. The goal is to ensure production gets on smoothly and problem-free.Please note that this position is part of a rotating shift, being willing and able to work day shift, swing shift, and graveyard shift is a minimum requirement.ResponsibilitiesSet up heat additions (product ingredients) using Company Standard Operation Procedures, identifying all raw materials and remelt used.Inspect and stack aluminum ingots per specifications. Weigh and identify product in each heat. Take required samples.Transfer heats from the making furnace to the casting station. Maintain a clean transfer ladle.Assist rod mill crew during start-up operations.Correctly color code, package, finish and approve final product per Company specifications.Collect and record all necessary data in log books and on product.Assist the Furnace Operator as neededMaintain a clean and safe work area.Undertake other Plant and Production errands as assignedSkillsProven experience as production assistant or a passion for the industryKnowledge of terminology will be appreciatedComputer knowledgeExcellent organizational and multi-tasking abilityResourcefulness and problem-solvingA team player with great communication skillsPhysical strength (able to lift up to 50lbs) and staminaA valid driver’s licenseHigh school diploma; Relevant training (e.g. production courses) will be an advantagePay: New hires will start as a Production Helper at $22.08 per hour.
