Job Description : Position SummaryThe Program Coordinator, Partnerships and Programs, provides support and implementation functions toward employer partnerships and experiential learning opportunities (i.e. work study, apprenticeships, internships, on-site sponsorship programs, etc.) for students of the College. The program coordinator will serve as a primary internal staff member responsible for coordinating internal stakeholders, working with external stakeholders in implementation, and ensuring excellence, responsiveness, and agility in approach and service to achieve the desired agreed upon outcomes.Core Competencies RequiredAdaptability, Communication, Professionalism, Managing Work, Continuous Improvement, Customer/Student/Employee Focus Collaboration, Quality Orientation, Technology Savvy, Decision Making, Resolving ConflictProgram CoordinationCompletes or provides supports for day-to-day and project-specific work assignments including but not limited to: assists in managing projects in order to deliver them within scope, within budget, and with high levels of quality; actively participates as part of the project team to create deliverables and complete project tasks, as needed. Serves as liaison to Workforce Innovation partners, industry partners, faculty and department chairs. Identifies and assists in organizing project teams in collaboration with the internal and external stakeholders, as identified.Schedules and coordinates project team meetings, organizes activities toward project completion. Establishes agreement with team members on due dates, cost and quality expectations. Executes charter and work plan in consultation with project teams.Reviews and facilitates creation of high-level deliverables. Identifies and communicates the need for resources from outside the College (i.e. equipment, software, contractual expertise). Identifies improvements with the scope of projects. Leverages technology and data to improve the efficiency of project implementation. Works with the designated staff to ensure the creation and filing of accurate “end of project” process maps.Building PartnershipsPartners with the Workforce Innovation and Business Development teams to create strategic engagement plans for potential industry partners. Assists in creating and fostering relationships with industry partners across programs. Engages employers directly to promote programs and ensure industry needs are aligned and expectations are being met. Assesses the needs of industry partners to promote various approaches to experiential learning programs, incumbent training and on-site delivery of academic programsReporting & Project Management SupportAssists project managers and leadership with projects in order to deliver them within scope, within budget, and with high levels of quality throughout the project lifecycle. Completes project reports. Identifies best practices from peer institutions, industry partners and communities of interest that support the overall project scope and quality. Prepares and presents status reports to all levels of management. Confirms accuracy of deliverables with stakeholders Coordinates reporting and creates documentation that follows project management lifecycles. Cross references requirements documents.Assists the project managers in utilizing project quality metrics and measures expected outcomes (i.e. required completion dates, budget limits, and quality standards). Identifies project issues that require resolution and creates issue list. Escalates issues for resolution when appropriate. Two (2) years’ experience supporting and contributing to high level projects from design through implementation.. State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
