Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in operations/business management and vendor management (e.g., employment risks, managing vendor teams, etc.)
Experience with web concepts, tools, troubleshooting, and product/business/design documents
Preferred qualifications:

Experience managing complex projects across multiple suppliers and a diverse set of customers
Understanding of software technologies (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, etc.)
Ability to develop solutions, collaborate, and develop effective partnerships to manage projects across multiple stakeholders and geographies
Ability to take initiative and take a user focus, solution-oriented approach in an ambiguous environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

gTech’s Business and Outsourcing Strategy and Services team (gBOSS) provides consultative services to gTech, the Global Business Organization (GBO), and Google at large, enabling each part of our business by developing innovative, scalable, and compliant solutions that allow gTech to run efficient operations with the best vendor partners at optimal cost while minimizing risk.
The Google Technical Services Business and Outsourcing Strategy and Services (gBOSS) team develops practical and innovative ways to address business challenges to keep Google working.
This role, within gBOSS program supports gTech sectors and other Google product areas by providing engineering services leveraging a preferred supplier model and software development best practices.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $170,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
Responsibilities
Work closely with customers and act as a consultant for their engineering needs by reviewing their Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and find the best suited vendor partner.
Manage contracting software engineering work out to trusted suppliers and follow their performance throughout the engagement through governance and performance management.
Manage financials, key metrics, and workflow allocation effectively for global projects on vendor operations across multiple geographies, suppliers, and platforms.
Own and drive key programs impacting global vendor operations in order to ensure high quality services delivery to all customers.
Work closely with business teams to review volume changes, forecasting, capacity planning, and help teams/suppliers prepare accordingly.
