Job Description : Purchasing Agent – Residential ConstructionGeneral Contractor located in North Scottsdale seeking an experienced and motivated Purchasing Agent that has skills useful in high-end residential remodels.Job Description:Meet with clients to discuss their remodeling objectives.Work directly with homeowners, designers and vendors to establish scope of work.Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials and scope of work.Identify qualified subcontractors, review bid for accuracy, negotiate price.Establish a budget for the renovation project.Present the proposal to the client and revise, as needed.Hire subcontractors and complete the renovation in a cost-effective manner.Perform periodic jobsite visits.Monitor the budget and create change orders, as needed.Communicate with clients to provide updates.Work closely with Construction Manager regarding scope of work and schedule.Work closely with Operations Manager regarding invoicing, bill payment, etc.Office with minimal field work.Requirements:Efficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, ExcelStrong communication skillsAbility to analyze problems and recommend solutionsExcellent organizational skills and detail-orientedKnowledge of blueprint readingReadily adaptable to changeValid Arizona Driver’s LicenseE-VerifiableWe are looking for an employee interested in a long term, full-time employment.2 – 5 years of purchasing experience preferred.5 years residential construction experience preferredJob Type: Full-time Monday – Friday.We offer competitive pay, paid vacation and holidaysSalary 65k + depending on experienceMileage reimbursementCell phone allowanceJob Type: Full-timePay: From $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:Paid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payAbility to commute/relocate:Scottsdale, AZ 85260: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Construction: 2 years (Preferred)Purchasing: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
