You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.ResponsibilitiesPatrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presenceMonitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property – mainly make sure the doors are securedRemove wrongdoers or trespassers from the areaSecure all exits, doors and windows after end of operationsCheck surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful actsInvestigate people for suspicious activity or possessionsRespond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situationProvide assistance to people in needApprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authoritiesSubmit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrencesSkillsProven experience as security officer or guardKnowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safetyFamiliarity with report writingExcellent surveillance and observation skillsTech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems – basicsHigh School diploma is requiredJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hourBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftNight shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Security: 1 year (Required)Work Location:One locationWork Remotely:NoWork Location: One location
