Here’s how a(n) Social Media Specialist for our US Head Office office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
Developing, managing, and executing company-wide social media strategy, including content creation, training, monitoring, and governance.
Creating content and communications plans consistent with the overall strategy and managing a detailed editorial calendar.
Managing company-wide social media channels, including marketing campaigns, for current channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube), and future channels (TikTok, etc.)
Brainstorming, sourcing, and executing brand ambassador campaigns and sweepstakes/giveaways.
Measuring and tracking success of current campaigns to inform future projects and initiatives.
Using data and KPIs to provide strategic recommendations for new objectives or initiatives in relation to digital communication activities.
Overseeing creative design (graphics, cover images, etc.) from internal team.
Providing strategic social media consultation and guidance for executives and other key company decision makers.
Advising and developing relevant social media content for construction professionals and provide training on upcoming social media trends and best practices.
Interacting and engaging with clients, partners, community members and employees online in an appropriate and engaging manner; including monitoring platforms 24/7 for issues and crises as necessary.
Educating executives of issues and crises that arise through social media and responding as necessary.
Leading audits of social media audiences to determine best content for each platform.
Monitoring trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy, and having the ability and confidence to engage with trends in a timely manner on behalf of the brand.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications or related field.
2-4 years of social media marketing experience within a fast-paced company.
An entrepreneurial spirit and a creative knack for content development and community engagement.
Have an analytical skillset and approach to measuring success of program.
Intellectual curiosity to quickly master new technologies.
Strong relationship-building skills and ability to communicate effectively with peers and key stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on workload.
Understands online etiquette and legal issues.
Problem-solving skills and ability to present solutions.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
Maintain a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social”.
Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, social analytics, and other digital communication platforms and ability to make decisions based on the data.
Experience running social media channels for a business, including conceptualization and execution of social campaigns that fuel engagement.
Experience using a social media management and listening platform such as SproutSocial, Hootsuite, Khoros, Sprinklr, Emplify, etc.

The salary range for this position is between $62,700 and $75,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
