Job Description : About usAcademy at the Lakes is a private school for preschoolers through 12th grade. Summer at the Lakes is our summer camp program, primarily for 3 -13 year-olds. Our program goal is to provide a wide variety of interesting and fun summer activities taught by friendly and enthusiastic individuals.Job DescriptionAre you energetic, enthusiastic, and fun with a great attitude? Are you willing to step out of the box and let your creative side shine? You’ll help promote positive character values in a caring environment while being a leader. We are looking for counselors to lead the following camps: nature crafts, robotics, coding/legos, science, drawing and painting, chess, and photography. Being a counselor teaches you how to work with and lead others, all while making a difference in your community.POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education/ Experience RequiredMust be at least 21 years of age.Limited experience needed.Ability to quickly build rapport and develop effective relationships with children to achieve goals.Skilled in verbal communication with children and conflict resolution.Ability to handle confidential information.Ability to implement safety procedures.Ability to work effectively with others.Must be fingerprinted/background check (provided by AATL)Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, TemporaryPay: $1,000.00 per weekSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayExperience:teaching and/or camp: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:First Aid Certification (Preferred)CPR Certification (Preferred)Work Location: One location
