Job Description : Program: EIFS – Comprehensive Counseling Support Services
Job Type: Full Time, Nonexempt
Location: Honolulu to West Oahu, Hawaii
The Transporter / Child Visitation Monitor – Child Abuse and Neglect Services will provide family visitation services to families referred to the Center by the Department of Human Services (DHS) and transportation of children served in this contract. This position is also responsible for inspection of the condition of the vehicle.
Essential Functions:
1. Behaves in a manner that supports the agency’s mission and follows personnel policies and procedures.
2. Provides supervised family visitation and outreach services to all families referred to the program, focusing on parenting, problem solving, communication skills and assisting the client in reducing risk factors and increasing protective factors.
3. Responsible for providing transportation of the clients to supervised visits, limited doctors’ appointments or therapy appointments.
4. Responsible for configuring most efficient routes for pick and drop offs, and maintaining order of the children in the vehicle.
5. Conducts assessments and observation forms in accordance with funder and state guidelines, and PACT policies and procedures.
6. Accurately completes all necessary documentation, reports and correspondence timely.
7. Regularly consults with Clinical Supervisor/Therapist, Therapist, Program Supervisor, and/or Outreach Worker.
8. Participates in all team and staff meetings, conferences, trainings, and workshops as arranged by the Program Supervisor.

5. Understands the dynamics of child abuse and neglect, substance abuse, domestic violence, and permanency issues.
6. Possesses ability to organize daily schedule to meet program requirements and ability to practice effective time management.
7. Is able to observe and report accurately on the function of individuals and families.
8. Is mature and capable of exercising sound judgement
9. Works in partnership with other team members both in the agency and in the community.
10. Possesses knowledge of family violence and child development.
11. Possesses knowledge of and ability to teach parenting, anger management, communication, and problem solving skills.
12. Possesses knowledge and understanding of family dynamics with a focus on child abuse and neglect.
Education:
High School diploma and/or GED and two years relevant experience.
Experience:
Experience needed in working with parents/caretakers who harmed their children or threatened their children with harm and children who experienced harm or were threatened with harm and experienced trauma and loss.
Must have a current and valid drivers license.
