Job Description : Accounts Receivable ClerkAlameda County Industries is a waste management company that provides solid waste, recycle and organics collection to residents and businesses in the Cities of Alameda, Castro Valley, San Leandro and San Ramon.ACI is currently in search of an Accounts Receivable Clerk. This position will be located at our main office in San Leandro.**We are looking to fill this requisition immediately**** This is not a remote position**FSLA: Non – exemptPay rate: $27.32 per hourREPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.Process all aspects of billing for commercial and residential customers.Review and reconcile daily billing for commercial accounts.Process residential start service, stop service and service changes.Manage annual collection timeline for residential and commercial customers. Including customer calls, collection letters, account notation and lien process.Daily, weekly and monthly review of system reports to review for accuracy.Support AR Manager and AR Supervisor with departmental projects and reporting.Support customer service on customer calls regarding billing questions.And other duties as assigned.Requirements: Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification AND 4 years of accounts receivable/billing department experience;OR (6) six years of relevant accounts receivable/billing department experience.Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically in excelDetail orientedReliable and able to take instruction wellAbility to work independentlyMust be able to multitask and meet deadlinesPreferred: Waste industry experience.Prior experience as an accounting department leadVery Generous Benefits package available.Only applicants that meet minimum qualification will be contacted.Job Type: Full-timeRate of pay: $27.32 per hourJob Type: Full-timePay: $27.32 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid sick timePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayOvertimeExperience:Microsoft Excel: 2 years (Required)Accounts Receivable: 2 years (Required)relevant accounts receivable: 4 years (Required)Work Location: One location
