Position : Youth and Family Programs Manager

Job Description : The Youth and Family Programs Manager reports to the Director of Youth and Family Programs. This position is responsible for daily oversight programs and events developed for the enjoyment and engagement of River Oaks Country Club Members and their families. This individual must be polished, professional, and pleasant with a keen ability to enthusiastically engage with members and their children across multiple age groups and through a wide range of activities.River Oaks Country Club is currently developing a $28 million East End Improvement Project that includes four new pools, new poolside dining, a youth activities center, as well as a new playground and sports court. The most suited applicant is already aware that this is a role with flexible hours throughout the year, with summer being the busiest season.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDaily oversight of Youth and Family Recreational programs, events, and activitiesAssist in planning and execution of all scheduled events, programs, and activities prior to the start timePlays a leading role in the Club’s summer camp, Camp ROCCSupervises youth attendants and camp counselorsKeeps children engaged as well as ensures the safety and good conduct of childrenReports attendance for events and programs to the Director of Recreation, assists with billing and registration for all events and activitiesMaintain all equipment and supplies within the department and report any damages or necessary repairsServe as a role model for ROCC’s youngest members, exemplifying high standards and values while providing a fun and safe environmentQualificationsAt least 3 years experience in the world of Youth and RecreationAt least 1 year experience of planning and executing eventsBachelor’s Degree preferredTeam management responsibilitySummer Camp experience either as a counselor or in a camp leadership rolePersonal CharacteristicsIs easy to approach; enjoys interacting with our members and guestsAble to effectively communicate in a professional and friendly mannerGenuinely cares about people and is available and ready to helpIs easy to approach; enjoys interacting with our members and guestsAble to effectively communicate in a professional and friendly mannerIs proactiveAbility to be flexible when taking on tasks, prioritizing as necessary, and successfully handling challenging situationsDedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations and requirements of the membershipSafety minded, high quality service standards, diplomatic and calmThe Club and Our Benefits: We offer excellent benefits for full-time positions including: Medical, Dental, Vision; 401(k) Matching & Safe Harbor Contributions; Group/Voluntary Life Insurance; Paid Time Off; Short and Long Term Disability; Annual Christmas Bonus*; Employee Meals*; Complimentary Parking*; Employee Scholarship Program*.
