Position : Assistant Curator (HI087)-310
Job Description : Performs in a management role under the direction of the Curator. Assists Curator in the overall management of Animal Programs, department staffing and animal collection to include sea birds, marine mammals, fish, turtles, etc. of Sea Life Park. Assists Curator in the health, procurement, safety and well-being of the animal collection and animal habitats. Provides department with a clear and direct line of communication for the Curator. Represents Curator during Curator’s absence.
Education/Experience: Four year college degree in related field and a minimum of ten years of experience (two years at a supervisory level position) with cetaceans and pinnipeds at a recognized marine mammal facility, or any combination of education and experience at a recognized marine mammal facility which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
