About the role
We are seeking an Associate Account Director to join our Studio Z team. We believe that each team member makes a significant contribution to our success and this critical senior role will be instrumental in reshaping our creative organization and Zillow as a whole.
We are looking for a seasoned marketer who believes in the impact that thoughtful strategy and great creative can have on a brand, culture and business results. Somebody who can build trusting relationships with our marketing partners and lead a group of individuals to do the same. A team leader that will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors because our accomplishments will not be measured just by awards won, but rather but the growth and success of the business we support. Understanding and identifying customer insights to get the work that delivers the vision is key.
This role will oversee the internal account management team across our consumer business, work directly with our internal creative group, and help handle our relationships with our external agency partners. As we look to build a more integrated agency model the ability to partner across agency lines is critical.
They are a strong but caring leader who is invested in the success of their team and sets the bar high and rewards the team for great effort, work, results and risks. They will attract great talent because of their reputation in the industry.
This individual has a broad skill set with experience in communications that spans digital, broadcast as well as traditional print vehicles and they will use this to help shape our integrated campaigns.

Job Responsibilities:
Plays a senior role in driving world class multi-channel marketing-communications, firmly grounded in brand and business strategies. They have a holistic view of the brand and how that best connects with customers’ needs
Partners with Sr Creative Strategist to craft compelling creative briefs that maximize consumer, category, and cultural insights to inspire great creative
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal product marketing partners, channel marketing and product teams across the company serving as a key point-of-contact within the Studio Z team.
Become a trusted partner to creative leads and agency partners alike, to ensure the work is creatively excellent and developed on strategy, time and on budget
You will be required to work with the Project Management Team in the prioritization, coordination and execution of campaigns. You will work help determine and incorporate best practices and process improvements to maintain overall account team efficiencies
Help mentor, coach and support team members and ensure you and your staff are constantly developing abilities through Zillow internal education and external training, including on-the-job training and mentoring
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In Colorado, the standard pay range for this role is $125,500.00 – $200,500.00 Annually. This range is specific to Colorado and may not be applicable to other locations.
Who you are
Great creative instincts. You have an eye for great creative that is both compelling and effective, and are passionate about championing great work. You can inspire and set a high bar for quality, and advocate effectively on behalf of what’s best for the Zillow customer
Expert brand and marketing strategic skills. The candidate will have a deep understanding of what a great creative brief looks like. They will know how to distill a mountain of analytics and insights into a forward-thinking inspirational creative brief. They will also have experience mentoring more junior staff to do so as well
Proven project management experience. Should have the ability to drive efficient processes through a team for a high volume fast paced environment. Will be able to prioritize work then handle expectations of all groups affected. Can have a 10,000 foot view as well as get in the weeds if necessary. You will have “seen it all”.
Relationship building. Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and external partners. And know when to leverage those relationships to get the best work.
Demonstrated ability as an integrated marketer. Should have experience in working on digital and traditional communications (including broadcast) with a consistent track record of developing integrated processes and leading integrated campaigns.
Communication skills. You listen first, always. You pick the right communication vehicle to deliver the outcome you are looking for. You get to know what works best for your marketing partners and team. You are comfortable presenting to senior management and can read a room and react accordingly.
Experience
Bachelor Degree Required. MBA desired
8+ years of Account management
5+ years managing a team
Agency experience is preferred. In-house experience a plus
