Whether it’s in Kidron or on the other side of the world, we strive to provide great service with a team that cares for and values each other.Position Summary & PurposeCafé Food Prep/Servers are one of the points of contact for customers visiting the Cast Iron Café located in Lehman’s Kidron Store and will assist with food preparation, order taking, and collecting payment via the POS system. Along with other Cast Iron Café team members, Café Food Prep/Servers help to create a memorable visitor experience by engaging with customers in a friendly manner and by providing excellent customer service.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare food items such as sandwiches, salads, soups, and ice cream from the Café menu and recipe instructions.Select food items from serving or storage areas to be placed on serving trays, or in takeout bags or containers.Serve customers their prepared order and process payment into the POS computer system; make change as needed.Clean and organize eating and service areas; collect and return dirty dishes to the kitchen for washing.Receive and check incoming food and supplies; notify Café supervisor of shortages or errors.Participate in food prep and stock supplies at the beginning and end of each shift.Inspect food service equipment to ensure they are operational at the beginning of the shift.Complies with Health Department regulations.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation: Minimum of an 8th Grade educationExperience: Minimum experience required is 0-6 months in a customer service, retail, and/or customer-centered environmentAt Lehmans, we serve others as we would want to be served.
