Job Description : LeadingAge PA is seeking an enthusiastic and creative part-time communications specialist to join our Communications Team. The department is responsible for the Association’s comprehensive communications plans and strategies, including brand, social media, website, marketing materials, events, and much more. The position is ideal for someone savvy with social media, and natural talent and interest in graphic design and writing. There is also opportunity to expand into different areas of communications and exercise creativity and support for outside-the-box thinking to deliver messages to our target audiences.Skills· Excellent writing skills· Creativity and curiosity in various areas of communications· Savvy with various social media platforms and effective engagement strategies (professional management of social media platforms in work experience not required)· Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe InDesign) and a willingness to learn/train to improve and develop new skills· Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelExperience· 2+ years of work experience in a communications position, or similar experience, preferred· 5+ years of social media experience and an understanding of building a successful profile· Post-secondary degree is not required, but preferred, in an area of communications or public relationsResponsibilities· Coordinate and manage social media campaigns using best practices, research, and analytics· Manage and plan daily social media across multiple platforms on Hootsuite· Create and edit marketing materials for Association webinars and events· Assist in the management of email marketing system and creating marketing emails· Provide analytics and reports on social media and marketing emails to supervisor· Perform other communications duties as assignedJob Type: Part-timePay: From $25.00 per hourBenefits:Flexible scheduleProfessional development assistanceCOVID-19 considerations:LeadingAge PA has a mandatory vaccination policy for all staff.Work Location: One location
