Position : Content Marketing Manager
Job Description : The opportunity
As NPC’s Content Marketing Manager you will work closely with the marketing director and sales teams to create compelling and relevant content that supports NPC’s business strategy, promotes brand awareness and guides prospective customers through the customer journey.
You will continuously look for new ways to increase NPC’s visibility with target audiences, as well as help to identify qualified leads through the creation and implementation of engaging and relevant communications and campaigns. You will regularly monitor web traffic and metrics to identify best practices and help expand our digital footprint.
Your responsibilities and contributions
Content Creation
Write clear and concise copy and content – with a holistic view of the customer journey – for blog posts, social media platforms, advertisements, video scripts, email campaigns, eBooks, whitepapers, web copy, infographics, sales collateral and tradeshow booth displays.
Partner with subject matter experts inside and outside the company, including sales, engineers/solutions architects, program managers, third-party influencers and industry thought leaders to create insightful and original educational content for our target audiences.
Stay up-to-date with market and customer developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention.
Simplify highly complex and/or technical concepts into engaging, understandable messages for technical and non-technical audiences.
Support SEO by optimizing existing content and creating new content around identified keywords.
Repackage existing content in new formats to support lead generation efforts.
Collaborate with the marketing design team to create powerful and attention-grabbing visuals that support messaging and bring written content to life across all channels, campaigns, advertisements and collateral.
Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase targeted web and tradeshow booth traffic.
Keep tabs on how content is performing on the website, social channels, emails and other digital platforms and relay that intelligence back to the marketing team for continuous improvement.
Use data to optimize communications to increase awareness and engagement.
Social Media Coordination
Design and create social media marketing campaigns on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
Handle the day-to-day posting responsibilities on all of NPC’s social channels, including management of a content calendar and posting schedule.
Monitor our social media channels, listen to our groups/target audiences, maintain the conversation and route and/or notify the appropriate team members who can engage further in applicable conversations.
Tradeshow Planning, Promotion & Support
Collaborate with the sales teams throughout the show planning process to understand show goals and expectations.
Develop and execute a show marketing plan aligned to the sales plans. Show marketing plans should include a pre-show promotional plan that drives booth and website traffic, lead capture strategy, and post-show follow-up plan.
Collaborate with the marketing design team to ensure show marketing plans align with booth display strategy.
Assist the marketing design team with a booth display strategy, design concepts and iterations, and end deliverables as needed.
Provide in-person booth support to the sales team as needed. Support includes helping educate booth visitors on NPC value proposition, offer and differentiators to spark interest and promote further conversations with sales.
Editing & Proofreading
Edit and proofread other author’s content for emails, website content, social media, collateral, proposals, sales presentations, and other digital media or marketing and sales materials as needed.
Skills you’ll need to be successful
Ability to create clear, concise and relevant copy that differentiates NPC and highlights our unique value proposition.
Ability to write effective content for a variety of marketing channels – including social media, website and email – and audience segments.
Ability to apply brand voice and guidelines across multiple channels to ensure brand consistency.
Ability to collaborate with other team members and departments.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple marketing projects and time sensitive deadlines at once.
