Job Description : Hocking County Family & Children First Council (HCFCFC) has been awarded a Strong Families, Safe Communities grant through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services in partnership with the Hocking County Board of DD, and HCFCFC. We are seeking to contract with a qualified candidate to fulfill the role of Direct Support Specialist (DSS). The DSS role is to provide support to multi-system youth and their families in utilizing in-home therapeutic respite. The DSS will meet with identified families, provide respite and follow-up regularly to determine effectiveness. The position is grant funded through June 30, 2022 and is currently part time, with the potential to become full time.Qualifications1. Associate degree in a related field or 5 years of relevant experience2. Experience working with multi-system youth or individuals with developmental disabilities3. Ability to work with families and children in their home settings4. Valid drivers’ license and reliable means of transportation5. Excellent data entry skills as well as ability to produce reports and spreadsheets6. Excellent computer skills7. Ability to work remotely with little to no direct supervision8. Certified Direct Support Professional, preferredJob Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $25.00 per hourWork Location: Multiple Locations
