Job Description : Position Overview: The Director of Operations is responsible for managing the operations of the assigned region, which includes customer service, warehousing, transportation and logistics, safety, and financial results. Directly responsible for providing leadership, mentoring, coaching, and direction to direct reports and other facility leadership, including establishing financial budgets and other goals. This position has responsibility for the Phoenix, Jefferson, and Houston facilities.How you will contribute to Victory Packaging: Designs and implements policies, plans and directives for their region, and reports to the RVP on matters affecting the operations of the company.Supports development and execution of the operational strategy and long term planning that will help maximize performance throughout the organization​Provide safety leadership to facilities to drive continuous improvement.Collaborate with Operations and Sales to confirm annual budget requirements and monitor P&L line items to effectively manage and achieve budget targets across multiple facilitiesDirects, coordinates and administers activities across multiple departments and in accordance with VP’s established polices/proceduresProvides leadership to the region’s operational efforts, maximizing organizational partnerships, engaging staff, and driving top performanceDirects staff to carry out initiatives, assignments and programs under the approved strategic plan and annual budgetEnsures a positive workplace culture of transparency and inclusion, acts as a mentor and leads by exampleDevelop and lead a culture with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence within the region.Manage operations to support company initiatives, particularly around profitability and cash flow improvement.Consistently holds direct reports accountable for performance and upholding VP core valuesParticipate in and contribute to strategic planning with senior and executive management team members.What it takes to succeed:Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years related experienceMust have experience as a leader, with experience managing turnkey service models and demonstrated skills in hiring and training top talentSuperior business, financial planning, oral/written communication, negotiation, and management skills will be expected, as will the ability to effectively monitor organizational performance and implement decisive corrective actionsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documentsAbility to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business communityAbility to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesTravel to VP branches as needed.
