Job Description : **OPTICAL EXPERIENCE AND MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE.**This position will manage 7 offices in central Florida, and will require regular travel across this region.Position Summary: We are looking for a career-minded individual that has a desire to succeed personally and professionally within an evolving and growing organization. District Managers are responsible for managing all facets of the optometric office operations within the designated district, including but not limited to; the daily operation of an office, including personnel management, budgetary controls, inventory controls while maintaining the highest level of patient service. Ensuring our patients have the best experience is a priority. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented with an ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a lot of teamwork and provides a great opportunity to join a growing and successful company.Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day operations of our skilled optometric facilities in the designated region, provide regular coaching and hands-on support to ensure effective operation for the patientAnalyze store financial data and make recommendations regarding steps which can be implemented on the retail side of the business to improve profitabilityInterview, hire, train, and direct Office Managers in the office and become involved in the hiring and development of department heads who support the office-level teamEnsure that staff training and development resources are utilized for every employeeMotivate employees to exceed performance standards and recognize star performersEnsure associates and management teams are in place as needed for the functional performance of the practiceConduct site visits in order to ensure programs are functioning and meeting operational standards as well as provide immediate hands-on feedback and action to meet standardsProvide reporting to the Regional VP, HR, Marketing, and Finance on a regular basisPerform supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associatesMonitor activities to ensure proper workflow and control inventory processes to enhance member experienceRegular travel with some overnight travelThe District Manager will oversee 8-10 optical offices and 90+ employeesRequirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in a management function including department head or leadership roleMinimum 3 years of experience in a managerial role with a medical and/or retail organization who specializes in patient care, sales, budgets, project management and HRBudgetary and fiscal management skillsExtensive experience and proficiency working with Google Business and/or Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and WordExcellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with staff, doctors, and other team membersStrong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow-through skillsAbility to complete projects timely and accuratelyDetail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills are required as this position has direct contact with numerous departments within and outside the marketDemonstrates agility and ability to maintain office operations and budgets on tight deadlines with multiple priorities subject to frequent changesJob Type: Full-timePay: From $77,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Optical or Medical management: 3 years (Preferred)Management: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
