Position : Domestic Violence Residential Manager
Job Description : 35 Hour work week Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:15pm with a half hour lunchWe are on a 9 day pay period schedule; you will get one day off per pay period (every other week).QUALIFICATIONS: A two-year degree in Human Services preferred plus two years experience supervising staff in residential and nonresidential care programs. Must have well developed oral, written, and computer skills. Experience networking with other human service agencies. Experience assimilating program operation needs with State regulatory mandates.Driver’s license valid in New York StateGENERAL DUTIES: Supervise, coordinate, and implement administrative and long-range planning oversight for the Columbia and Greene County Residential program activities. Supervise residential operations and staff. Provide empowering and supportive services to victims of domestic violence while assisting them in day-to-day efforts to stay safe. Assist the Director in promoting Agency activities as an integral member of the management team.ACTIVITIES: l. Supervise, train, and monitor performance of all domestic violence shelter staff, in policy and procedures, and day to day program implementation.2. Supervise the maintenance of all case records in compliance with state and agency mandates, including all agency documents, reports, and billing.3. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and county mandates for all reporting and program requirements.4. Provide liaison activity in promoting community awareness, networking, and representation of agency at community and government functions.5. Work cooperatively with residential staff to create an existing rapport with shelter families.6. Promote the development and implementation of training for staff, volunteers, and other community service organizations.7. Assist in the preparation and filling of family court petitions.8. Provide individual support counseling to residential clients.9. Supervise and work cooperatively with staff and families in identifying realistic goals and the action necessary to achieve such goals.10. Responsible for promoting and maintaining the care of the residence.11.
