Job Description : Responsibilities
The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Consulting Specialist works under the supervision of the Director of Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion within the Office of Health, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (HEDI) within the UCLA Health and Clinic System. In this role, you will have responsibility working alongside the Office of HEDI staff to develop, curate, and train UCLA Health stakeholders on EDI principles, practices, philosophies, and values. You will provide leadership and expertise on EDI principles to aid and support educating staff, faculty, trainees, and other stakeholders that enhances the understanding of EDI and enhances strategies and programming for building further inclusivity at UCLA Health.
Your primary role is to facilitate presentations, trainings, and help develop other mediums for learning and skill building across the hospitals and clinics. This role will support the overall mission of the Office of Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (HEDI) through curriculum, programming, and professional development based in EDI principles and best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience providing dynamic group facilitation and training curriculum for adult learners in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Strong communication skills; written, verbal, and presentation/facilitation skills.
Strong knowledge of critical race theory, critical feminine theory, anti-racism, anti-bias, and restorative justice principles.
Extensive experience with program planning, curriculum design, facilitation, training delivery, and instructional design
Curriculum design and development experience for adults.
Knowledge of events planning and programming.
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Proficiency use of multimedia tools.
