Job Description : Root Sciences is excited to be adding a Field Services Technician to our growing team! The person we are looking for will be very detail oriented and have the ability to work independently as well as work with our team.Responsibilities:Extensive travel to domestic and international customer locationsSetup, calibration, testing and demonstration of distillation unit operationProvide training and technical support for end-users to operate and maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer and Root Sciences specifications and SOPsParticipate and complete additional training, as neededPerform ongoing maintenance on parts and equipmentParticipate in trade shows and other media eventsAssist with warehouse and inventory maintenanceProvide end-user technical support via text, email and phonePerform other tasks, as assignedSkills Required:Experience and understanding of winterization, filtration, extraction, separation, and distillation of cannabis oil or similar compoundsDegree or equivalent experience in chemistry, biochemistry, engineering or related fieldExperience with the extraction, purification, and isolation of various compounds, preferably including cannabinoidsBe able to lift up to 50lbs.Be able to stand on feet for extended periods of timeCommercial cannabis/hemp laboratory experience is a plusJob Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per yearJob Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Masks are required in customer facilities if required by the customerEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Required)Willingness to travel:50% (Preferred)Work Location: On the road
