Job Description : Locally Owned Rapidly Growing Car Rental Company is Looking For a Full Time Porter. The Company Goal is to Grow the Appropriate Candidate into a Fleet Manager Position with Earned Time and Experience.Initial Duties will be (but not limited to):Coordinating and assisting with vehicle movement to and from repair facilities, multiple parking areas, and other locations.Preparing vehicles for Rental Delivery ensuring they are fueled up or charged, clean, and sanitized.Reading Rental Invoices to ensure any additional add-ons, which are included on rental contracts, are with the vehicle at time of pick-up and at time of return.Delivering vehicles to predetermined rental pick-up locations and picking up vehicles from pre-determined drop off locations.Checking vehicles in and out using a smartphone application.Inspect vehicles to identify damage, mechanical issues, or safety related concerns.Communicating with customers in regards to locating vehicles, logistics, and problem solving concerns on the fly.Understanding a schedule of vehicles coming in and going out and working through logistical challenges in operating a rental fleet with multiple locations.Run errands to pick up and deliver items as requested.Perform other duties as needed.Position Requirements:Valid Drivers’ LicenseClean driving abstractAbility to work as a member of a team but also work independently.Ability to listen first and clearly communicate with peers and guests.Desire to ask questions when concerned or unsure of a specific task or action.Computer literate with a personal laptop computer.Willingness to learn and desire to become responsible for the upcoming fleet management position.This is not a normal “show up at a car store” porter or detailer position, but an opportunity to work with a small team and earn a position of responsibility as the company grows.This full time position has flexible hours which are driven, in large part, by the scheduled rental calendar.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to FridayOn callWeekend availabilityEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Customer service: 3 years (Preferred)Shift availability:Day Shift (Preferred)Night Shift (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
