Position : Healy Maintenance Planner Assistant
Job Description : Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) is looking to hire a full-time Healy Maintenance Planner Assistant as part of our Coal Power Plants located in Healy, AK. This position earns a competitive starting wage of $23.73. GVEA is an electric cooperative which maintains 3,261 miles of transmission and distribution lines, 35 substations, and 9 generating facilities. Our system is interconnected with Fort Wainwright, Eielson AFB, Fort Greely, the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, and all of the electric utilities in the Alaska Railbelt, extending from Homer to Fairbanks. The Healy Maintenance Planner Assistant assist the Maintenance Manager and Planner with the day to day maintenance planning and scheduling activities to ensure plant is reliable, safe and efficiently maintained. Tasks include entering work requests, issuing and monitoring progress of preventive and corrective work orders. They are responsible for scheduling weekly maintenance for the plant using EAM, Microsoft Project and Excel spreadsheets. The Healy Maintenance Planner Assistant plays an integral role in GVEA’s ability to serve the Interior of Alaska in providing reliable electric service at fair and reasonable prices!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN HEALY MAINTENANCE PLANNER ASSISTANT
High school diploma or the equivalent required.
Valid Alaska drivers’ license.
Two years’ experience in a related position.
Strong computing skills in Word, Excel, databases, electronic mail and internet usage.
Experience with Oracle software preferred.
Previous work experience in a Cooperative or Electric Utility would be preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.

WORK SCHEDULE
