Job Description : Job descriptionSugaring NYC is an organic body waxing and lash studio with 6 corporate stores in NYC and 5 corporate satellite stores in other states. We are also a fast growing franchise with over 50 stores nationwide (unrelated to this position). Sugaring NYC (@SugaringNYC) is hiring a full time in-house Human Resources Generalist.Sugaring is the #1 Fastest growing beauty franchise in America.Job Description: Manage the day to day Human Resources functions including but not limited to: selection, recruitment, employee relations, benefits, workers compensation, legal compliance, performance management, learning and development, training, on-boarding, and leading the day to day processes of the Human Resources Office. This role has primary responsibility for creating and sustaining an engaging employee experience and is the driver of employee recognition.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Working closing with upper management, implement and develop company strategy, including but not limited to, coaching and counseling, recruitment, investigations, engagement, training, on-boarding, benefits and hiring and retaining the best employeesDevelop reward and recognition programs and training strategiesOversee all employee relations matters as they relate to Federal, State and local employment and civil rights laws, including, but not limited to, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, workers’ compensation; NYSIF, C240 and C11 reports and comparable state and local laws, and general human and civil rightsEvaluate termination process including any needed termination forms and conducting exit interviewsInsurance benefit selection and implementation. Open EnrollmentEnsure Workforce processes and reporting are implemented and adhered to.Represent Sugaring NYC at Job FairsMonitor Workman’s Compensation claimsEnsure compliance with all HR and related operating proceduresPlan, organize, and control employee related activitiesMonitor performance evaluation program and revise as necessaryDevelop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain handbook on policies and proceduresAdhere to budget set for department, track expenses, explain any variancesJob Type: Full-timeCOVID-19 considerations:All clients and staff are required to wear masks on company premises at all times.
