Job Description : Job DescriptionInternational chemical/plastic/pharmaceutical trading company is currently seeking an experienced Import/Export Coordinator for its midtown Manhattan office. The Import/Export Coordinator reviews and negotiates import and export letters of credit, sends packing instructions to warehouses and suppliers, prepares sales documents, verifies and vouchers invoices, follows up on customer payments and responds to inquiries regarding shipping.Primary Responsibilities: Prepare open terms sales documentsSend packing instructions to warehouses and suppliersArrange survey instructionsCoordinate letters of credit, including but not limited to: Review customer L/C’s for accuracy and request amendments as necessaryNegotiate L/C’s with banks and follow through for acceptance and collection of proceedsReview necessary documentation with freight forwarders as per L/C instructionsCoordinate invoicing and collections: Issue proforma invoices to customersVerify and voucher invoices for paymentPrepare sales documents and coordinate with Treasury customer outreach for paymentWork closely with Accounting Department as necessary for collections and paymentOther Responsibilities: Prepare other documentation as requiredRespond to shipping inquiriesJob Type: Full-timePay: $56,000.00 – $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftCOVID-19 considerations:We are providing both mask and face shields to wear in office.
