Position : Office Manager Assistant – Natural Bridge State Park

Job Description : Natural Bridge State Park is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and energetic person to assist the Office Manager in administrative duties and provide support to park staff.
Duties include but are not limited to processing invoices and procurement support using electronic systems while maintaining compliance with Commonwealth guidelines, daily revenue reconciliation, deposit preparation, cash management, producing routine reports and correspondence, processing payroll and other confidential employee paperwork. Troubleshoots problems with office equipment and software systems and maintains equipment and supplies.
Provides excellent customer service and accurate information to park visitors and coworkers, including answering phones and emails. Provides coverage at the park’s contact station and park office. Position provides detailed information on campsite and other park facilities included, but not limited to, pricing, amenities, and directions. Collects appropriate fees and registers campsites and day use fees. Maintains reservation lists for campsites and facilities and composing rental agreements. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of employee and park records.
Required to operate a computer, cash register, fax machine, laminator, handheld radio & multi-line phone system. Applicant may be required to perform other park related duties during emergencies or on a non-recurrent basis.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to work well with park staff and the public. Basic knowledge of office practices and working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar office applications required. Must be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, handle multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Must be able to operate a computer, cash register, fax machine, copier and other office equipment. Occasional weekend/holiday work may be required. Must have reliable transportation. Must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in office administration, customer service and fiscal processes preferred. Experience providing administrative support in a park environment or other related field is desirable.

Special Requirements
Must be willing to work weekends and evenings. There are no health benefits or paid vacation leave associated with the job. Employees are limited to working no more than 1500 hours in 12 months from May 1 to April 30. Position does not include benefits.
