Job Description : Level 1 Position: Die Press Packer
Location: Madison, GA
Shifts Available: 6am-6pm (2-3-2 schedule) and 6pm-6am (Mon-Thur)
Starting pay $15.60/hr. Increase to $16.40/hr after Training.
The Die Press Packer position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team within the die cutter process, as well as possess a positive attitude. Must be able to follow standard work instructions and have strong attention to detail.
This position is not for candidates who have less than the required years of experience, have not worked in the position or a closely related position before, or who do not meet the minimum job requirements.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Inspect tiles to ensure they are damage free and meet quality standards, separate those that are defective
Follow standard work instructions to stack, box, label and palletize finished goods
Ensure Labels are correct before being placed onto the packing box
Ensure proper boxes are used and free of damage
Communicate defects to team lead or quality tech
Assist in the set up and changeover of equipment
Perform testing procedures ensuring products meet specified quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of work stations
Follow all safety procedures, recognize unsafe acts and make recommendations for improvement
Job Responsibilities and Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must be prepared to work flexible or extended hours as necessary to meet the requirements of the Company, including weekends and/or holidays and extended shift patterns
Good organizational skills
Must be safety conscious
Must be quality conscious
Assist with the setting a bevel to specs on cutting
Math skills required: Counting, Addition/Subtraction and Measuring in millimeters and inches
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, push, pull & reach for long periods of time. Must be able to lift & carry up to 60 lbs. Ability to maneuver around an array of machinery. Use of hands to finger, handle or feel. Color & peripheral vision; depth perception & ability to adjust focus. Work environment conditions include: exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes, airborne particles and chemicals; extreme heat & loud noise level in some areas of the facility. Ability to quickly respond to a signal when it appears. Must be able to wear half mask respirator, safety glasses & other assigned PPE for the duration of the shift. Ability to work in an efficient & timely manner, multitasking where necessary. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to perform duties which requires tolerance of standing, repetitive hand movements, continual bending and squatting, near/far/depth/color vision, and inside ambient temperatures
