Job Description : Parts Manager is responsible for:Managing stockClerical/Computer work with regards to inventory, deliveries, stock rotation etc.Identifying, supplying and locating parts/accessories· Inventory Management & Control to avoid excess inventory costs,· Maintain accurate records warranty parts and details of faulty parts· Purchasing economics: buy quality, at low price & sell at acceptable margin.· Identify/Evaluate suppliers for replacement parts that match the quality of the originals.· Have good negotiating skills so they can obtain the best prices for parts.· Selling parts over the counter· Purchase orders, or POs,· ReceivingForecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.Establishes pricing parameters that generate a satisfactory profit· figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentagesWhat key skills should a parts manager have?· High School DiplomaKnowledge and ability of parts pricing proceduresAnalytical skillsDetail-orientedOrganizational skillsComputer capabilities for inventory, record keeping, parts information etc.Ability to read and interpret documents: safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to solve practical problemsPrevious experience as a Parts Manager with Sales and Customer Service experience is beneficial.
