Position : Patient Care Associate – Clinic
Job Description : United Staffing Solutions, a healthcare staffing company, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Manhattan, NY. You will help them with their basic needs and collaborate with medical professionals to achieve excellent patient care. The goal is to facilitate the recovery of the ill and injured by providing them critical everyday assistance.Pay: $25/hrShift: 8 am-4 pmResponsibilities for the Patient Care Associate – Clinic: Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitizedAssist patient with everyday needs (personal hygiene, using the restroom, grooming etc.)Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse etc.) or EKG signals and patient conditionTake fluid samples or other specimens for testingAssist nursing staff in administering basic treatmentsPerform basic nursing procedures (e.g. changing bandages)Ensure rooms have adequate patient care suppliesAssist patients with particular issues or needsProvide appropriate emotional supportSkills for the Patient Care Associate – Clinic: Proven experience as a patient care technicianTrained in phlebotomy, vital signs measurement and dialysis treatmentExcellent knowledge of patient assistance and care proceduresWorking knowledge of relevant equipment (catheters, needles atc.)Committed to health and safety standardsEmpathetic and approachableSuccessful completion of PCT training program with certification is requiredCPR certifiedApply now for immediate consideration!Job Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 per hourSchedule:Day shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Manhattan, NY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)License/Certification:BLS Certification (Preferred)Work Location: One location
