Job Description : The Laurel Group is a premier landscape design/build firm, located on the prestigious North Shore of Long Island, in historic Huntington Village and in the Hamptons. We are currently seeking a talented payroll / human resource administrator to process payroll and HR support for 6 companies with 200 employees.JOB DUTIES: HR support for all divisions, including recruiting, on-boarding, off-boarding, benefits coordination, new employee orientations, employee file maintenance and answering inquiries from employees & supervisorsMaintain Confidentiality for Employees and Company purposes.Benefits coordination and assist with benefit programs including, health insurances, health savings accounts, 401(k), vacation and holiday accruals, and employee eligibility for all programs offeredPayroll administration, including processing, transferring of funds, distribution, reconciliations, and payroll tax supportAdministration of Unemployment Compensation requests, with the support of employee supervisorSupport for all divisions to maintain compliance with the company’s Workplace Safety Plan, including OSHA record keeping, WC compliance, first-aid and WC filed claims, and return to work programs administration, and yearly auditsAssist in the maintenance of individual employee licensing (Sales, DEC, drivers), including updating current licenses and acquiring new licenses when neededAssist in the acquisition and maintenance of the Certificates of Insurance for vendors and any company insurances needed to follow WC & Liability insurance requirementsGeneral administrative support, including answering of phones, typing, preparation of mailings, etc.QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years payroll processing experienceMulti-company experience preferredSpanish is a plusBENEFITS: Sick and vacation paySubsidized health care plansEducation expense reimbursementJob Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:We follow NYS mandated Covid-19 protocols.Application Question(s):What is your highest level of education?Do you have experience in multi-company payroll processing?Experience:payroll: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
