Job Description : We are looking for a Chef to prepare delicious meals for our family. Chef responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be able to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. You should be familiar with sanitation regulations. If you have experience with advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll prepare and deliver a complete menu.ResponsibilitiesSet up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scalesStudy each recipe and gather all necessary ingredientsCook food in a timely mannerDelegate tasks to kitchen staffInform wait staff about daily specialsEnsure appealing plate presentationSlightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)Monitor food stock and place ordersCheck freshness of food and discard out-of-date itemsExperiment with recipes and suggest new ingredientsEnsure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen areaSkillsProven work experience as a Chef or CookHands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniquesAbility to remain calm and undertake various tasksExcellent time management abilitiesUp-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipesFamiliarity with sanitation regulationsCulinary school diploma preferredCompensation and Schedule: This is a part time position, starting hourly rate is $17 per hour and the schedule is 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.Job Type: Part-timePay: From $17.00 per hourSchedule:Evening shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Weeki Wachee, FL 34614: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Culinary experience: 2 years (Preferred)Cooking: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
