Cargill, Incorporated, Deicing Technology is a leader in the salt industry, has a year-round non-temporary job opportunity for underground Production Miners at its salt facilities.
The job of the Production Miner is to perform general labor involved in the mining of salt in a safe and efficient manner. The Production Miner role consists of drilling, loading shots, scaling, excavating, and cutting.
Job Type : Full Time
Shift Available: 2nd
Compensation: $32.14/hr
Principal Accountabilities:
Adhere to all safety requirements & good manufacturing practices (GMP)
Operation, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repair of related equipment.
Perform quality checks, interpret data and record data manually and via computer
Requirements:
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
Must be able to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
High school degree or GED Equivalent
Basic Computer skills
Must be able and willing to perform with or without reasonable accommodation: working underground (up to 1800 feet), which involves bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
Able to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends and different shifts with advance notice
Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include working underground (up to 1800 feet), heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) which may include a harness in some circumstances
Preferred:
Prior experience in production related work
