Job Description : Our CompanyVerco Materials manufactures rifle armor protection systems for police operators/officers. The technology is based on Verco’s exclusive conformal armor system utilizing imbricated boron carbide strike-face tiles.Work Hours: Mon – Fri: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a break for lunchJob Description: Ballistic Fabric Sewing of Police Outer Tactical VestsVerco Materials is a growing company focused on customer service and quality. Employees must be detail oriented, committed to quality, and be self-motivated.Responsibilities: Police operators have exacting standards for the outer tactical vests that they wear. These vests have pockets that hold ballistic protection panels, are form fitting, have heat mitigation and quick-release features, and enable the mounting of equipment/devices. Verco’s armor panels are of custom sizes, hence the carriers must be custom made. Candidates for this position must be able to construct these carriers.Developed Skills: Operation of a sewing machine to assemble carriers from cut fabric.Operation of a CNC cutting machine to cut the various fabric components of the armor system.Commitment to uncompromising quality.Flexibility to learn and participate in all phases of the manufacturing process, as needed.Maintain a safe and clean working environment.Be able to work from and create patterns for customer-specific carrier designs.Job RequirementsDemonstrated skill in sewing machine operation and ability to make articles of clothing.Sewing machine troubleshooting and textile quality control experience.Open to training by Verco experts, to in turn become experts, at the construction of top-quality ballistic carriers.Basic Math and writing skills.A willingness to learn new skills in the broader range of Verco manufacturing and quality control.Good communication skills.Able to lift 20 lbs.Job Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 – $28.00 per hourBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Atlanta, GA 30318: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)Shift availability:Day Shift (Required)Work Location: One location
