Job Description : Position Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all specialty production operations during their shift. They will also be responsible for collaboration and cooperation with the support departments and the other supervisors to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.Accountabilities: 1. Enforce all Plant Practices, Plant and Departmental Safety Rules and Plant Rules of Conduct.2. Responsible for the training, motivation and supervision of all individuals reporting to their shift.3. Effectively recommend the hiring, promotion, transfer and discipline of employees under their supervision.4. Apply employee feedback in a fair, consistent and confidential manner throughout assigned areas of responsibility.5. Must be able to interact with other plant personnel on all levels to ensure plant safety, quality and efficiency goals are met.Qualifications – Internal1. Hold a strong commitment to Safety, Quality and Employee Relations2. Be willing to ensure safety policies, procedures and practices are followed by all employees3. Be currently in good appraisal standing with excellent safety performance4. Be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written5. Be able to manage multiple assignments6. Be willing and able to perform job duties at any time on any shift as assigned by the Specialty Production Foreman including overtime and weekends 7. Be knowledgeable and proficient with various computer applications such as Excel, Word, and Oracle8.
