Job Description : OCS facilitates and enhances the development, delivery and coordination of programs for the needy, disadvantaged, immigrants and refugees, and provides advice and assistance to state and private human service agencies, and the Legislature. The unit administers and evaluates contracts and grant programs that provide services to the economically disadvantaged persons, immigrants and refugees manages procurement and contracting for OCS; and performs other related duties.The OCS Program Specialist is an entry level position that manages primarily Grant-In-Aid contracts. Performs contract administration duties within assigned program areas; assists in the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), if needed, and the negotiation and drafting of contracts; monitors and evaluates program and contract performance of contracted service provider contract preparation; monitors contracted service providers’ compliance, program performance and expenditures; performs program and contract evaluations; prepares program and contract reports; provides technical contract and program assistance to contracted service providers; identifies and reports contract and program problem and issues, makes recommendations, assist in problem solution; monitors and disseminates information on program related resources and best practices; identifies and prepares grant proposals; and performs other duties as assigned.Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $20.00 – $35.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Required)Work Location: One location
