Job Description : Referral coordinator is responsible for ensuring physician ordered referrals are submitted timely to specialty offices, rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, and other providers. They resolve registration, pre-certification, and case-related affairs before the patient’s appointment. Also, they give support to clinical staff to manage the administrative components of clinical referrals for many services. They must gather relevant information from patients, parents, physicians, insurance carriers, and other supplementary staff to make sure the patient’s services are provided and scheduled.
