Job Description : Job Summary:We are looking for a Regional Operations Manager in the Trucking industry who can assist us with our aggressive growth plans to take the company to the to next level. This Leader will oversee the day-to-day activities of the company and create policy and procedures in accordance with all state/federal laws and regulations, to ensure we are meeting or exceeding our current and future strategic plan into the future.A successful Regional Operations Manager will be an expertise in leadership, with strong interpersonal communication experience. Lastly, this is an ideal role for someone whose passion is mentoring and leading a team.Key performance objectives of the Regional Operations Manager:Oversee day-to-day operations of multiply markets to ensure performance meets company goals.Streamline communications between department leaders to ensure consistency, productivity, and cost control across the organization.Develop and measure key performance indicators that identify continuous improvement opportunities and enable operations to achieve company financial goals.Build, manage, and train an operations team that consistently performs at a high level and maintains our competitive edge.Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and communityEnsures the company is complaint in all state/federal laws and regulationProvides timely response to all client and company needsServes as a member of the organization’s leadership team and participates in weekly Leadership Meetings to review progress against quarterly initiatives and recommend solution to ensure we hit our goals.Lead the hiring process for operations personnel and coordinates the onboarding process to ensure all staff are properly trained and onboarded; tracks and approves labor hours, PTO requests, and absences for payroll purposes.Oversees the training and development of operations first-line supervisors and personnel with the aim of developing the organization’s internal bench strength including, but not limited to, expertise in processes and procedures, soft skills, and technical competencies.Identifies and recommends process for measuring and reporting on performance metrics and develops rewards and incentive programs accordingly. Evaluates the company’s performance to plan; collects and analyzes data on key performance indicators, develops and presents findings to the leadership team. Provides regular updates and reports regarding resource allocation, lead times, personnel issues, staffing needs, and day-to-day needs of operations to the leadership team.Assesses direct reports’ performance and alignment to core values, conducts performance reviews, recommends wage adjustments, promotions, and dismissals, and addresses personnel related issues as needed.Set goals, mentor, and coach department employees to assist in meeting established goalsMin Requirements:Must be able to work in the USMust have flexible schedule and be available 24/7 to team and respond to emergency situationsMust have A “whatever it takes” attitude; can make things happen even int the most inconvenient or unpredictable situationsAbility and willingness to travel between marketsMust have a thorough understanding of CSA, FMCSA, HR involved in the transportationExpert in communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft office suite or related softwareGreat leadership qualities are of the utmost importanceOrganizational skills, attention to detailExcellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environmentAbility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and able to lead and manage competing priorities by multi-tasking and meeting all deadlines with continually changing priorities while providing high quality customer serviceJob Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSupplemental Pay:Bonus payWork Location: Multiple Locations
