Job Description : ***SEASONAL POSITION IN ALASKA*** Ideal candidates are available April 26 – Sept 30th. Company housing is provided at $300/month. MUST BE 21 years of age.This is a really cool position that crosses/floats between two areas. It is an ideal entre to moving up to a position as a full-time Cast Member/Tour Guide in future seasons, and allows for a great deal of fun moving between the different areas of our operation.The Dining Room Server is a vital Front-of-House part of our restaurant team, interfacing directly with all guests who are taking part in the Alaskan BBQ buffet as part of the tour/excursion they selected. This position is tasked with the daily execution of the buffet service, sanitation, and guests’ satisfaction as well as taking orders for, transacting, and serving the company’s craft soft drinks (partially canned onsite and in view of the dining area) and non-alcoholic beverage options.The Cast Member/Townsperson is a costumed position portraying a character from the Klondike Gold Rush era of the late 1890’s. Brush off your high-school drama class skills, and bring out your inner actor by creating the backstory and presentation of the character you play. Townspeople work onsite, and assist Tour Guides while guests are moving through the site portion of the tour. You could do anything from help people learn to pan for gold (don’t worry – we teach you and we provide the costumes, except shoes), to weighing their gold and buying a locket for it, to handling popcorn, cookie, and soda sales in the snack shack, to helping guests hold the puppies at the dog show. You might be asked to do a tour of our gold dredge, or take soda orders in the restaurant.
