LinkedIn Tag: #LI-JO12 How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Specialist, FOP Crew Support is responsible for coordinating the technology needs and support of our business partners in Pilot Crew Resources and Flight Operations (FOP). While partnering with FOP, the Specialist will seek to understand the processes run by the teams, and the technology used for those processes to ensure a seamless efficient delivery of services. The position reports to the Manager of Crew Operations & Reliability Support in the Crew Technology Support organization, and will work closely with Crew Resources, IT, Operational Analytics and Performance (OAP) and Operations Decision Science (ODS) teams to develop, implement, and support the technology used by the crew members.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary support person for FOP business partners in Training, Planning, Bid & Award, Field Operations, and Scheduling
Create an effective and coherent communication and reporting strategy to drive transparency and accountability into the crew technology development process
Act as the primary point of contact during planned and unplanned system outages that impact Crew operations
Track, manage, and report on technology incidents impacting FOP
Stay current on business processes and the technology needed to run those processes
Partner with the Portfolio Management team to Manage the FOP business value backlog for enhancements that fill gaps in processes or resolve pain-points and vulnerabilities
Partner with the Portfolio and Integration teams to create, manage and support the FOP technology readiness schedule (product releases, training, planned system outages, etc)
Work with the Technology Integration team to ensure business partners are trained and prepared for the rollout of any new crew technology and to create and maintain user feedback channels to continuously improve crew technology
Effectively communicate cross divisionally and to senior leaders
Promote safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Bachelors or equivalent work experience in technology or airline operations preferred
Experience supporting a large diverse group of users
Applies a customer first approach and mindset to problem solving
Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
Minimum 3-4 years relevant work experience
Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and workstreams at once
Strong communication skills with the ability to produce logical, concise, relevant, strategic documents and executive presentations
Ability to translate a business vision into written technical requirements
Proven track record of successfully working in a cross-departmental team environment
Must be open to feedback from, and prioritize the needs of, a diverse set of stakeholders
Must demonstrate the ability to build relationships and communicate with all levels in the organization
Must be performing satisfactorily in current position
Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
In depth knowledge of FOP processes and applications is highly preferred
