Your role at Clorox:
This role is responsible for safely operating and maintaining equipment in the rapidly changing high speed production of plastic food and trash bags. In addition to the requirements below, individuals in this role must have strong communication, teamwork, and peer leadership skills.
In this role, you will:
Maintain a safe work environment daily, and proactively engage in plant wide safety efforts
Perform required frequent scheduled quality checks on finished bags through specified and detailed quality control procedures throughout each shift.
Troubleshoot equipment and process failures, perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment, remove/replace equipment parts.
Keep raw materials, commodities, cartons, cases, and glue stocked during production periods
Accurately c omplete required documentation in a timely manner using computerized systems, and occasionally paper documents
Conduct equipment set-up changes through removing, modifying, adjusting, and/or installing parts.
Perform daily and other periodic housekeeping and work area organization tasks.
Maintain and update departmental equipment and production performance metrics and reports.
Communicate daily with peers and managers on departmental performance and issues as it relates to safety, quality, production, and other departmental metrics and resource needs.
Peer training as needed
May be required to perform team coordination activities related to team safety, quality, production scheduling or other core business functions.
Complete all required training in a timely manner.
Work effectively in a team environment using clear communication
Complete other routine and unique tasks and projects as assigned.
What we look for:
Proven ability to work in a safe manner
1 year Manufacturing or Mechanical work experience required; preferred 2 years Manufacturing or Mechanical work experience
Ability to work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule, including weekends and holidays
Ability to work mandatory overtime when needed.
Ability to tolerate sustained standing/walking up to 10 hours a day
Ability to perform occasional to frequent lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of up to 50 lbs.
Relevant computer skills (Email, MS Office, Data entry)
Demonstrated experience in teamwork and communication
High School diploma or equivalent
