Job Description : Assembly Worker DEPARTMENT – MultipleREPORTS TO – Floor ManagerPRIMARY ROLE Assemble parts per procedure with minimal to no defectJob Description: Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. Team assemblers can perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.KEY MEASURES 1. Meet production as stated by Standard Operating Procedures 2. Meet work quality and production output /goals 3. Knowledge of product to report inconsistencies or concerns 4. Maintain good attendance and work as a productive member of the team. 5. Work well as a productive member of a teamEXPECTATIONS Responsibilities 1. Read, interpret, and follow the Standard Operating Procedures, work orders, drawings, and sample assemblies to determine material requirements or assembly instructions. 2. Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions 3. Assemble product according to specifications 4. Identify acceptable product quality 5. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area 6. Crimps, bolts, or preforms similar operations to secure parts 7. Connects component lead wires 8. Complete all other duties as assignedEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE GED or High School diploma and 1-year work experience. Experience with simple machinery preferred. At least 6-month of general work experienceKNOWLEDGE Knowledge in basic hand toolsSKILLS Use various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks where applicable. Basic math skills Work in a safe mannerABILITIES Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-pace environment Being careful about details and thorough in completing work task Ability to stay focus on the job and avoid unnecessary distractions Ability to understand information and ideas presented verbally and/or writtenPHYSICAL OR SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks Must be able to lift 15-30lbs Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or use machines as directed Ability to see details at close range (within 12” of the observer) with or without glasses.WORK ENVIRONMENT Warehouse environment Exposure to noise- ear plugs available Must wear eye protection and mask.
