Job Description : JOB DESCRIPTION:Moss Green Screen Printing is looking for an Assistant Production Artist. This is a pre-press position and not a design position. You will be helping our Production Artist with the day-to-day tasks of taking our clients’ raw art files and preparing them for printing or application onto garments & swag. To be successful in this position you should have a strong attention to detail and be able to jump from project to project nimbly.No prior professional experience required. We are willing to train the right candidate.Duties include:Editing and typesetting in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopCreating art proofs for our clients to approvePreparing art files for color separationWorking with the Production Team to meet deadlines and ship datesCommunicating with clients via e-mail and phoneReading through Purchase OrdersQualifications:Solid knowledge of the fundementals of Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopAbility to communicate well and interact with clients in a friendly mannerBasic understanding of color modes (RGB, CMYK, spot), file types (vector vs. raster) and file formats (PNG, JPG, EPS, AI, PSD, SVG)Understanding of fonts and general typesetting conceptsSkills:Time managementCreative problem-solvingMulti-taskingSCHEDULE:Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00BENIFITS:Medical, Dental & Vision Plan is available after 60 days of full-time employmentOvertime pay for more than 40 hours per weekPaid Time Off Program after 12 months of full-time employmentABOUT US:Moss Green has been screen printing in Seattle for over 25 years. Our shop is located in the Interbay area, just south of the Ballard Bridge. We work with Advertising and Promotional Companies to produce high-volume screen printed & heat transferred garments & swag. We’re a small, busy company. The work environment is fast-paced but friendly.
