Position : Business Operations Associate
Job Description : Microsoft Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) has an immediate opening for a Business Operations Associate to join the Analytics and Operations (A&O) Team of HR Legal. A&O partners with attorneys, immigration specialists, and program managers across the practice groups in HR Legal—U.S. Immigration, Employment Law, Global Employment and Migration, and Employment Policy & Compliance—to support programmatic initiatives related to our global workforce including workforce planning initiatives, external staff, global mobility and immigration compliance, employee privacy, cross-border change management, mergers and acquisitions, background screening, diversity, and the future of work. A Business Operations Associate improves operations, identifies and solves problems, and helps the team achieve their most important strategic goals.
Responsibilities
Support our legal operations. Areas of emphasis include:
Create resilient processes to deliver high quality outcomes
Monitor workstream health using data and analytics
Use internal controls to ensure a robust program
Identify and implement measurable process improvements
Manage multiple priorities across a range of business needs driven by both internal and external constraints
Collaborate with HR Legal teams
Communicate in writing, presentations, and one-to-one
Construct workflow charts and diagrams, and user guides that capture the unique requirements of a legal practice
Display respect for a diversity of backgrounds and viewpoints
Exhibit a growth mindset in all interactions with others
Build and execute project plans including:
Ensure seamless operations and project rollouts
Define project outcomes and requirements such as project milestones, phases, and elements
Form project teams
Conduct risk analyses and use mitigation strategies
Monitor and report on project progress
Identify and resolve project blockers
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or at least 3 years of project management or operations experience
1 year project management or operations experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deep attention to detail
Organizational, time management, and troubleshooting skills
Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize and manage work accordingly
Customer obsession and customer success driven
Availability to work onsite
Aptitude to learn Microsoft business intelligence tools including Excel, Power BI, Project, and Visio
