Job Description : This outstanding Healthcare Management Support organization is actively interviewing for an Workers Compensation RN Case Manager in the Sacramento California Area. Established nearly 20 years ago, this Workers Comp and Occupational Health organization offers comprehensive tools and services to support patients. This organization is made up of a close knit team of RNs with strong experience in Case Management, Patient Advocacy, and Field Operations. The leaders of this company approach every patient interaction through a lens of family care and a culture of shared experience. The Field Case Managers here aren’t limited by contracts and the team has a huge role in choosing who they want to partners with.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Field Case Management, the Workers Comp Case Manager will play a central role in supporting efficient operations and compassionate care for injured workers throughout the Sacramento Area. Working closely with physician and nursing partners in the field, in writing, over the phone, and in virtual environments, the RN Case Manager will get to directly support Workers Compensation patients and their families.

Though this company is based around the Bay Area, the organization serves a wide range of patients throughout Northern California. The Workers Compensation Case Management team has a very unique and attractive Field / Remote structure. These RNs work remotely in a sense that they don’t have to visit a centralized office every day, but in normal times over 50% of daily work is done ‘in the field’ visiting patients and families at physician offices. Currently most of this work is done on a work-from-home basis, but field-based patient interaction is expected to recommence very soon.

A key responsibility for the RN Case Manager will be visiting with patients and families involved in Workers Compensation cases at their homes as well as Physician Offices or Clinics, so a dependable and reliable vehicle will be very important. This person will use a strong background in Medical Case Management to assess patients’ situations and ability to care for themselves. This kind of assessment will require at least 2 years of experience working in the complex environment of Case Management that California provides.
