Job Description : GCI Recruitment Coordinator will support the Recruiting function and Recruiting team by performing administrative .tasks. Position will be virtual. Position will coordinate and support recruitment process with different departments within the company and/or locations throughout Alaska and the lower 48. Position’s Customer(s): Company Wide; Internal and External customers, related staff, and management
Essential Duties of Position:
Perform administrative duties such as: formatting job postings, tracking onboarding completion for Newhires, and ensure background check is completed. .Being point of contact for I9’s and completion of E-verify Managing all paperwork associated with onboarding New Employees and internal competitive promotions. Reaching out and communicating with external candidates regarding where their application is in process. Monitoring Career inbox and posting ads on Facebook, LinkedIn, and other job sites.
Conducts employment related research and assists recruitment team with electronic and other methods of sourcing of qualified candidates.
Assists recruitment team with customized screening and initial contact of applicants to determine qualification and interest level.
Refers appropriate candidates to recruiter and/or hiring supervisor.
Provides support coordination of recruitment projects and related services to supervisors, hiring managers, recruitment team members, and others.
Participates in and provides analytical support in design, development, and implementation of recruitment projects and programs.
Supports and participates in job fairs, community activities, and other public and departmental recruitment-related events.
Represents and promotes organization to potential applicants by providing information, responding to questions, and collecting applicant data.
Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of recruitment, employment, HRSC, compensation, benefits, pay administration, and other related organizational policies, practices, procedures, and/or regulations.
Serves as resource for recruitment policies, procedures, and practices to supervisors, HR staff, and others. Refers to recruiters and other staff as appropriate.
Handles and prioritizes multiple ranges of advanced administrative duties with wide latitude for independent judgment and initiative.
Assists with identifying issues affecting recruitment and implementing recruitment activities to continuously improve process.
Produce metric reports and graphics on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. File and retrieve organizational documents, records, and reports. Work with data to develop various reports and tracking mechanisms.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative work relationships.
High degree of accuracy in data entry, strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Proficient in use of spreadsheets, databases, and using software to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with Adobe applications and understanding of records management systems to include hard and soft copy, and Microsoft Teams via virtual communication such as chat or video calls.
Working knowledge of social media.
Demonstrated knowledge of general business practices and professionalism.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and working cooperatively with departmental and interdepartmental teams.
Ability to facilitate communication, written and verbal across a multi-location department while maintaining a focus on details.
Ability to work independently, under time constraints, and in an environment with changing priorities and goals.
Strong ability of management skills and to prioritize multiple projects.
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills required for level of tasks and interaction.
Ability to maintain an environment of honesty, accountability, and to keep confidential information secure.
Supports workplace diversity.
Dependability and timeliness required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of two years in administrative support role required.
One year of Recruiting Coordinator experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in Business or a related field highly valued.
A combination or relevant experience and education sufficient to perform the duties can contribute to years of experience .
Certifications: Industry specific certifications highly valued and may contribute toward education requirement.

Physical Requirements: Physical effort may include stooping, kneeling, touching, feeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Clarity of vision to see near, mid-range, and color. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Working Conditions: The work area must be quiet and free of distractions. Lighting must be adequate and without glare. Distracting noises should be kept to a minimum. The employee’s desk must be adequate, designed to safely accommodate the equipment the employee must use, e.g., computer, printer, keyboard, monitor etc. The employee must have reliable connectivity to the internet to access GCI via VPN. Employee workstation must comply with GCI’s ergonomics standards.
The company and its subsidiaries operate in a 24/7 environment providing critical services to Alaskans and may need to respond to public health and safety matters or other business emergencies. Due to business needs employees may be contacted outside of the core business hours to respond to the immediate emergency. As such, you will be requested to provide emergency after hours contact numbers, to include your home and cell phone numbers if you have those services.
Driving Requirements (if applicable) : Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and a satisfactory driving record.
