Position : Cyber Security Analyst – Tier 1 (Remote)
Job Description : Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RI&S) – Cyber Security & Special Missions (CSM) is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst Tier-1 to support a customer full time as a dedicated analyst. The candidate will be able to effectively analyze all relevant cyber security event data and other information sources for suspicious network traffic, attack indicators and potential security breaches; produce reports, and assist in coordination during incidents.
This position is remote, however, if the candidate is in the DC area they may be requested to come onsite for special trainings or events, as needed.
This position Monday – Friday and could be 1st OR 2nd shift based on client’s need.
Responsibilities will include:Assess network threats such as computer viruses, exploits, and malicious attacksDetermine true threats, false positives and network system misconfigurations and provide solutions to issues detected in a timely mannerMonitor for potential compromise, intrusion, deficiency, significant event or threat to the security posture and security baselineDevelop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures and other technical documentationParticipate in customer calls and meetings daily imbed with customer cyber defense teams
Required Skills:2+ years concentration security operations and analysisPrior experience working in three of the following: Security Operations Center (SOC), Network Operations Center (NOC), Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT)Knowledge of and practical experience of integration of COTS or open-source toolsExperience in the detection, response, mitigation, and/or reporting of cyber threats affecting client networks and one or more of the following:Experience in computer intrusion analysis and incident response Working knowledge of Intrusion detection/protection systemsKnowledge and understanding of network devices, multiple operating systems, and secure architecturesWorking knowledge of network protocols and comm
