Position : Department Coordinator – Research Education and Training Center

Job Description : Coordinates department project activities. Develops department resource database to facilitate management of various project activities. Coordinates department scheduling of individuals, resources, and activities.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates administrative activities for the department (e.g., coordinating resources, timing, and activities). Manages department schedule for key activities. Ensures that administrative support is provided as needed. Participates on project teams and builds competency around specific department tools and methods for organizational performance improvement. Maintains data, develops database and completes analysis. Provides reports; prepares charts, presentations or summary data.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Certifications:
None required.
Complexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
Minimum two years experience.
Bachelor’s degree may offset experience requirement
Experience coordinating multiple functions, managing data and leading mid-size projects preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Requires extensive sitting and manual dexterity to perform work on a PC.
Typical physical demands include the ability to sit, stand or walk to other locations as needed.
Visual acuity to perform computer functions.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
