Job Description : Primary PurposeThe primary purpose of this position is to improve employee retention, to focus on the personal and professional development of our team and to recruit new team members to facilitate our growth.Priorities & Desired ResultsTo execute and support programs that will increase the retention of our team members such as culture, employee satisfaction, Safety and performance management.Responsible to oversee and manage the Company’s apprenticeship programs.Responsible for envisioning and implementing all internal training programs to develop and better educate our team.Work with current team members to identify outside training and development opportunities that are beneficial to the employee and the company.Attract and hire new talent to our team through direct recruiting for open positions as well as creating talent pipelines through the promotion of our brand to potential future candidates in the marketplace, at educational institutions, military placement channels and other external groups as may be beneficial.To work in close parallel with the Company’s HR personnel, the Director of Marketing and Communications and Company Management to carry out these objectives.Typical DutiesEnsure documentation requirements are met for certified training programsRecruit for open positions working closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, HR personnel and Operations LeadersCoordinate and oversee company training programsEvaluate external training and development opportunities for team members working in close coordination with Managers and direct SupervisorsVisit jobsites to interact with team members, promote Culture initiatives and perform Safety evaluationsProvide feedback to internal stakeholders and collaborate with them to further the initiatives identified for this positionEnsure that annual performance management programs are in place, coordinating closely with HR personnel and Operations LeadersEnsure we have up to date job descriptions for all positionsAttend external events to promote the MIELKE brand, story and culture to attract new talent to our teamAssess current needs and implement programs that meet the objectives defined for this positionCreate excitement and encourage participation in programs that meet the objectives for this positionFocus on innovation opportunities that improve our efficiency and effectiveness in the stated focus areasMaintain KPI tracking for the outcomes of this positionSupport Operations Leaders when performance improvement plans are required for current team membersTo collaborate and support HR personnel, Managers and Supervisors in carrying out the required tasks relating to these initiativesRequirementsEmployee must be able to:1. Work in a stressful environment2. Keep customers & employees happy3. Recognize and stop unsafe practices4. Meet deadlines5. Analyze diverse problems and consistently make proper decisions6. Work successfully with limited supervision7. Have a strong working knowledge of the Windows operating system8. Read, understand, and apply government regulations9.
