Job Description : Job Title: Director – People Development & Learning (Operations)
Job Summary:
The Director of People Development & Learning for Operations NA is responsible for design and delivery of our Learning Operations Strategy and Key Programs; Enabling individual and organizational growth through people transformation, leadership and technical upskilling
Key Job Accountabilities:
Manage Existing Program Offer:
Meet regularly with business leaders and HR stakeholders to understand their key business priorities and work hand-in-hand with experts / program faculty to ensure offer is adapted to support the organizations transformation and growth.
Identify and engage key stakeholders, manage through conflict and strategy prioritization, create guiding coalitions when necessary, drive projects in a structured manner using benchmarking and data analysis, and negotiating and securing appropriate resources.
Ensure offer reflects L’Oreal NA priorities and L’Oreal Global Learning standards of excellence. Liaise with International Learning team and Corporate Learning team to align on vision, share best practices and adapt global content to local market.
Identify New Opportunities to Grow Learning Offer and People Development:
Identify new and creative opportunities to develop the people of Operations through needs/data analysis, design and delivery
Expand opportunities for people development and technical upskilling (i.e. meeting the needs of all Operations employees, increasing the focus in our plants and distribution centers)
Select top consultants for programs where needed and brief them on L’Oreal culture and select appropriate internal experts and high profile speakers.
Organizational Development
Partner with VP, Operations NA People Development & Learning to design, develop and implement programs and strategies tailored to enable Operations goals & leaders
Facilitate a variety of developmental initiatives, action plans, programs, and learning materials to support Simplicity activation
Leadership
Provide leadership and people management to Learning team ensuring the Learning strategy is implemented and team members are empowered (i.e. Technical Upskilling and KISS Learning Journey)
Create opportunities for best practice sharing and peer to peer learning
Animate/develop local Learning community ensuring full usage of learning tools and systems (Virtual engagement tools, Connect, One Profile, Linkedin Learning, Coursera etc)
Project Management
Manage program logistics, leveraging support from team coordinator/intern (calendar planning, securing location, preparing training materials, implementing pre and post program actions, communicating to delegates and briefing of consultants).
Drive course enrollments to achieve increased penetration of target population for training programs.
Constantly audit the way we work and make recommendations for improved efficiencies (cost cutting, time saving, etc).

Help drive and enhance Simplicity strategy for Ops NA

Competencies Required:
Technical / Professional
10+ years of work experience in Learning / HR preferred
Developing and Delivering solutions – Instructional Design, storytelling and facilitation skills
Learning Practice knowledge of adult learning principles and L&D best practices and trends.
Consultation – Ability to consult on the best learning experience and solution
Creativity and innovation – ability to solve problems and pursue possibilities
Business Acumen – Knowledge of business dynamics and P&L, Operations challenges and key trends, competitors, market trends and consumers
Data Analysis – Perform business analyses and learning needs assessment to drive results
Project and Time Management – Ability to set goals and finish deliverables on time
Strategic thinking – Ability to understand organizational goals, formulate objectives, determine priorities and link to learning
