If you share our passion for building communities, strengthening families, and providing quality products that create a legacy for generations to come, you will be right at home at L’Chaim Farm.  Mission:Hands-on supervision of the day-to-day operations of the farm. Manage and oversee the production of fruits, vegetables, eggs, honey and milk.Accountabilities: Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest fruits and vegetablesFeeding and caring for livestockMilking 8-10 goats/cows by hand twice dailyFeeding and caring for free range chickensResponsible for rotating runs for the chicken coopsPerform field work that may include tilling soil, applying fertilizers, transplanting, hand weeding, hoeing, and moving irrigationFeeding and caring for horsesCleaning stallsInspect, repair, and build fences and other related work.Other functions may be assigned.Critical Success Factors: Passion – for the company’s missionEnergetic- Enjoys activity and physical workWork ethic- disciplined, hard worker and lives by company core valuesRelationships- provides service with a smileProblem Solver- Implements solutions and overcomes constraintsSelf-Starter- positive, optimist and willing to take initiativeVery organized – Quality and detail orientedGoal Oriented – naturally motivated to reach goalsPhysical requirements- able to lift up to 50 lb. constantly and able to work outside in all weather conditionsKey Processes: Fruit and vegetable productionEggs productionMilk productionEducation, Training and QualificationsHigh School diploma from an agricultural school is preferred, at least 2 years’ experience working on a farm and cultivating fruits and vegetables is required. Experience working with hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears and knives is also required.Valid Driver’s License is required.Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; reach with hands and arms and stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
